Leviticus

4:1And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 4:2Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any one shall sin unwittingly, in any of the things which Jehovah hath commanded not to be done, and shall do any one of them: 4:3if the anointed priest shall sin so as to bring guilt on the people, then let him offer for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto Jehovah for a sin-offering. 4:4And he shall bring the bullock unto the door of the tent of meeting before Jehovah; and he shall lay his hand upon the head of the bullock, and kill the bullock before Jehovah. 4:5And the anointed priest shall take of the blood of the bullock, and bring it to the tent of meeting: 4:6and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before Jehovah, before the veil of the sanctuary. 4:7And the priest shall put of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before Jehovah, which is in the tent of meeting; and all the blood of the bullock shall he pour out at the base of the altar of burnt-offering, which is at the door of the tent of meeting. 4:8And all the fat of the bullock of the sin-offering he shall take off from it; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards, 4:9and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the loins, and the caul upon the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away, 4:10as it is taken off from the ox of the sacrifice of peace-offerings: and the priest shall burn them upon the altar of burnt-offering. 4:11And the skin of the bullock, and all its flesh, with its head, and with its legs, and its inwards, and its dung, 4:12even the whole bullock shall he carry forth without the camp unto a clean place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood with fire: where the ashes are poured out shall it be burnt.

4:13And if the whole congregation of Israel err, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done any of the things which Jehovah hath commanded not to be done, and are guilty; 4:14when the sin wherein they have sinned is known, then the assembly shall offer a young bullock for a sin-offering, and bring it before the tent of meeting. 4:15And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands upon the head of the bullock before Jehovah; and the bullock shall be killed before Jehovah. 4:16And the anointed priest shall bring of the blood of the bullock to the tent of meeting: 4:17and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before Jehovah, before the veil. 4:18And he shall put of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is before Jehovah, that is in the tent of meeting; and all the blood shall he pour out at the base of the altar of burnt-offering, which is at the door of the tent of meeting. 4:19And all the fat thereof shall he take off from it, and burn it upon the altar. 4:20Thus shall he do with the bullock; as he did with the bullock of the sin-offering, so shall he do with this; and the priest shall make atonement for them, and they shall be forgiven. 4:21And he shall carry forth the bullock without the camp, and burn it as he burned the first bullock: it is the sin-offering for the assembly.

4:22When a ruler sinneth, and doeth unwittingly any one of all the things which Jehovah his God hath commanded not to be done, and is guilty; 4:23if his sin, wherein he hath sinned, be made known to him, he shall bring for his oblation a goat, a male without blemish. 4:24And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt-offering before Jehovah: it is a sin-offering. 4:25And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin-offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt-offering; and the blood thereof shall he pour out at the base of the altar of burnt-offering. 4:26And all the fat thereof shall he burn upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace-offerings; and the priest shall make atonement for him as concerning his sin, and he shall be forgiven.

4:27And if any one of the common people sin unwittingly, in doing any of the things which Jehovah hath commanded not to be done, and be guilty; 4:28if his sin, which he hath sinned, be made known to him, then he shall bring for his oblation a goat, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned. 4:29And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin-offering, and kill the sin-offering in the place of burnt-offering. 4:30And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt-offering; and all the blood thereof shall he pour out at the base of the altar. 4:31And all the fat thereof shall he take away, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace-offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savor unto Jehovah; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be forgiven.

4:32And if he bring a lamb as his oblation for a sin-offering, he shall bring it a female without blemish. 4:33And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin-offering, and kill it for a sin-offering in the place where they kill the burnt-offering. 4:34And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin-offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt-offering; and all the blood thereof shall he pour out at the base of the altar: 4:35and all the fat thereof shall he take away, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of peace-offerings; and the priest shall burn them on the altar, upon the offerings of Jehovah made by fire; and the priest shall make atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned, and he shall be forgiven.

Psalms

1:1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked,

 Nor standeth in the way of sinners,

 Nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers:

 1:2But his delight is in the law of Jehovah;

 And on his law doth he meditate day and night.

 1:3And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water,

 That bringeth forth its fruit in its season,

 Whose leaf also doth not wither;

 And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

 1:4The wicked are not so,

 But are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

 1:5Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment,

 Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

 1:6For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous;

 But the way of the wicked shall perish.

Psalm 2

 2:1Why do the nations rage,

 And the peoples meditate a vain thing?

 2:2The kings of the earth set themselves,

 And the rulers take counsel together,

 Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,

 2:3Let us break their bonds asunder,

 And cast away their cords from us.

 2:4He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh:

 The Lord will have them in derision.

 2:5Then will he speak unto them in his wrath,

 And vex them in his sore displeasure:

 2:6Yet I have set my king

 Upon my holy hill of Zion.

 2:7I will tell of the decree:

 Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son;

 This day have I begotten thee.

 2:8Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance,

 And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

 2:9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron;

 Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

 2:10Now therefore be wise, O ye kings:

 Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

 2:11Serve Jehovah with fear,

 And rejoice with trembling.

 2:12Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way,

 For his wrath will soon be kindled.

 Blessed are all they that take refuge in him.

The Proverbs

19:1Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity

 Than he that is perverse in his lips and is a fool.

 19:2Also, that the soul be without knowledge is not good;

 And he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

 19:3The foolishness of man subverteth his way;

 And his heart fretteth against Jehovah.

 19:4Wealth addeth many friends;

 But the poor is separated from his friend.

 19:5A false witness shall not be unpunished;

 And he that uttereth lies shall not escape.

 19:6Many will entreat the favor of the liberal man;

 And every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts.

 19:7All the brethren of the poor do hate him:

 How much more do his friends go far from him!

 He pursueth them with words, but they are gone.

 19:8He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul:

 He that keepeth understanding shall find good.

 19:9A false witness shall not be unpunished;

 And he that uttereth lies shall perish.

 19:10Delicate living is not seemly for a fool;

 Much less for a servant to have rule over princes.

 19:11The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger;

 And it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

 19:12The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion;

 But his favor is as dew upon the grass.

 19:13A foolish son is the calamity of his father;

 And the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.

 19:14House and riches are an inheritance from fathers;

 But a prudent wife is from Jehovah.

 19:15Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep;

 And the idle soul shall suffer hunger.

 19:16He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his soul;

 But he that is careless of his ways shall die.

 19:17He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto Jehovah,

 And his good deed will he pay him again.

 19:18Chasten thy son, seeing there is hope;

 nd set not thy heart on his destruction.

 19:19A man of great wrath shall bear the penalty;

 For if thou deliver him, thou must do it yet again.

 19:20Hear counsel, and receive instruction,

 That thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

 19:21There are many devices in a man's heart;

 But the counsel of Jehovah, that shall stand.

 19:22That which maketh a man to be desired is his kindness;

 And a poor man is better than a liar.

 19:23The fear of Jehovah tendeth to life;

 And he that hath it shall abide satisfied;

 He shall not be visited with evil.

 19:24The sluggard burieth his hand in the dish,

 And will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.

 19:25Smite a scoffer, and the simple will learn prudence;

 And reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.

 19:26He that doeth violence to his father, and chaseth away his mother,

 Is a son that causeth shame and bringeth reproach.

 19:27Cease, my son, to hear instruction

 Only to err from the words of knowledge.

 19:28A worthless witness mocketh at justice;

 And the mouth of the wicked swalloweth iniquity.

 19:29Judgments are prepared for scoffers,

 And stripes for the back of fools.

Colossians

2:1For I would have you know how greatly I strive for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2:2that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, even Christ, 2:3in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden. 2:4This I say, that no one may delude you with persuasiveness of speech. 2:5For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. 2:6As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 2:7rooted and builded up in him, and established in your faith, even as ye were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. 2:8Take heed lest there shall be any one that maketh spoil of you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ: 2:9for in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily, 2:10and in him ye are made full, who is the head of all principality and power: 2:11in whom ye were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ; 2:12having been buried with him in baptism, wherein ye were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 2:13And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, I say, did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses; 2:14having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out that way, nailing it to the cross; 2:15having despoiled the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 2:16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a feast day or a new moon or a sabbath day: 2:17which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ's. 2:18Let no man rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he hath seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 2:19and not holding fast the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and bands, increasing with the increase of God. 2:20If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to ordinances, 2:21Handle not, nor taste, nor touch 2:22(all which things are to perish with the using), after the precepts and doctrines of men? 2:23Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but are not of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.
