Deuteronomy

16:1Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto Jehovah thy God; for in the month of Abib Jehovah thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night. 16:2And thou shalt sacrifice the passover unto Jehovah thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which Jehovah shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there. 16:3Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life. 16:4And there shall be no leaven seen with thee in all thy borders seven days; neither shall any of the flesh, which thou sacrificest the first day at even, remain all night until the morning. 16:5Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee; 16:6but at the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt. 16:7And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents. 16:8Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread; and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to Jehovah thy God; thou shalt do no work therein.

16:9Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: from the time thou beginnest to put the sickle to the standing grain shalt thou begin to number seven weeks. 16:10And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto Jehovah thy God with a tribute of a freewill-offering of thy hand, which thou shalt give, according as Jehovah thy God blesseth thee: 16:11and thou shalt rejoice before Jehovah thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are in the midst of thee, in the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there. 16:12And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.

16:13Thou shalt keep the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in from thy threshing-floor and from thy winepress: 16:14and thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates. 16:15Seven days shalt thou keep a feast unto Jehovah thy God in the place which Jehovah shall choose; because Jehovah thy God will bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the work of thy hands, and thou shalt be altogether joyful. 16:16Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before Jehovah thy God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles; and they shall not appear before Jehovah empty: 16:17every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God which he hath given thee.

16:18Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, according to thy tribes; and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment. 16:19Thou shalt not wrest justice: thou shalt not respect persons; neither shalt thou take a bribe; for a bribe doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous. 16:20That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.

16:21Thou shalt not plant thee an Asherah of any kind of tree beside the altar of Jehovah thy God, which thou shalt make thee. 16:22Neither shalt thou set thee up a pillar; which Jehovah thy God hateth.

Psalms

A Psalm of David.

 103:1Bless Jehovah, O my soul;

 And all that is within me, bless his holy name.

 103:2Bless Jehovah, O my soul,

 And forget not all his benefits:

 103:3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities;

 Who healeth all thy diseases;

 103:4Who redeemeth thy life from *destruction;

 Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

 103:5Who satisfieth *thy desire with good things,

 So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle.

 103:6Jehovah executeth righteous acts,

 And judgments for all that are oppressed.

 103:7He made known his ways unto Moses,

 His doings unto the children of Israel.

 103:8Jehovah is merciful and gracious,

 Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness.

 103:9He will not always chide;

 Neither will he keep his anger for ever.

 103:10He hath not dealt with us after our sins,

 Nor rewarded us after our iniquities.

 103:11For as the heavens are high above the earth,

 So great is his lovingkindness toward them that fear him.

 103:12As far as the east is from the west,

 So far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

 103:13Like as a father pitieth his children,

 So Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.

 103:14For he knoweth our frame;

 He remembereth that we are dust.

 103:15As for man, his days are as grass;

 As a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

 103:16For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone;

 And the place thereof shall know it no more.

 103:17But the lovingkindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,

 And his righteousness unto children's children;

 103:18To such as keep his covenant,

 And to those that remember his precepts to do them.

 103:19Jehovah hath established his throne in the heavens;

 And his kingdom ruleth over all.

 103:20Bless Jehovah, ye his angels,

 That are mighty in strength, that fulfil his word,

 Hearkening unto the voice of his word.

 103:21Bless Jehovah, all ye his hosts,

 Ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

 103:22Bless Jehovah, all ye his works,

 In all places of his dominion:

 Bless Jehovah, O my soul.

Isaiah

43:1But now thus saith Jehovah that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine. 43:2When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 43:3For I am Jehovah thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I have given Egypt as thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in thy stead. 43:4Since thou hast been precious in my sight, and honorable, and I have loved thee; therefore will I give men in thy stead, and peoples instead of thy life. 43:5Fear not; for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; 43:6I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back; bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the end of the earth; 43:7every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yea, whom I have made. 43:8Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. 43:9Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, It is truth. 43:10Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 43:11I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour. 43:12I have declared, and I have saved, and I have showed; and there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and I am God. 43:13Yea, since the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who can hinder it? 43:14Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing. 43:15I am Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King. 43:16Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; 43:17who bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as a wick): 43:18Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 43:19Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. 43:20The beasts of the field shall honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen, 43:21the people which I formed for myself, that they might set forth my praise. 43:22Yet thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel. 43:23Thou hast not brought me of thy sheep for burnt-offerings; neither hast thou honored me with thy sacrifices. I have not burdened thee with offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense. 43:24Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast burdened me with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities. 43:25I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake; and I will not remember thy sins. 43:26Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: set thou forth thy cause, that thou mayest be justified. 43:27Thy first father sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. 43:28Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary; and I will make Jacob a curse, and Israel a reviling.

Revelation

13:1and he stood upon the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns, and seven heads, and on his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy. 13:2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority. 13:3And I saw one of his heads as though it had been smitten unto death; and his death-stroke was healed: and the whole earth wondered after the beast; 13:4and they worshipped the dragon, because he gave his authority unto the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? And who is able to war with him? 13:5and there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and there was given to him authority to continue forty and two months. 13:6And he opened his mouth for blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, even them that dwell in the heaven. 13:7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and there was given to him authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. 13:8And all that dwell on the earth shall worship him, every one whose name hath not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb that hath been slain. 13:9If any man hath an ear, let him hear. 13:10If any man is for captivity, into captivity he goeth: if any man shall kill with the sword, with the sword must he be killed. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. 13:11And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like unto lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 13:12And he exerciseth all the authority of the first beast in his sight. And he maketh the earth and them dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose death-stroke was healed. 13:13And he doeth great signs, that he should even make fire to come down out of heaven upon the earth in the sight of men. 13:14And he deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by reason of the signs which it was given him to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who hath the stroke of the sword and lived. 13:15And it was given unto him to give breath to it, even to the image to the breast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as should not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 13:16And he causeth all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, that there be given them a mark on their right hand, or upon their forehead; 13:17and that no man should be able to buy or to sell, save he that hath the mark, even the name of the beast or the number of his name. 13:18Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred and sixty and six.
