29:1And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing of trumpets unto you. 29:2And ye shall offer a burnt-offering for a sweet savor unto Jehovah: one young bullock, one ram, seven he-lambs a year old without blemish; 29:3and their meal-offering, fine flour mingled with oil, three tenth parts for the bullock, two tenth parts for the ram, 29:4and one tenth part for every lamb of the seven lambs; 29:5and one he-goat for a sin-offering, to make atonement for you; 29:6besides the burnt-offering of the new moon, and the meal-offering thereof, and the continual burnt-offering and the meal-offering thereof, and their drink-offerings, according unto their ordinance, for a sweet savor, an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.
29:7And on the tenth day of this seventh month ye shall have a holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall do no manner of work; 29:8but ye shall offer a burnt-offering unto Jehovah for a sweet savor: one young bullock, one ram, seven he-lambs a year old; they shall be unto you without blemish; 29:9and their meal-offering, fine flour mingled with oil, three tenth parts for the bullock, two tenth parts for the one ram, 29:10a tenth part for every lamb of the seven lambs: 29:11one he-goat for a sin-offering; besides the sin-offering of atonement, and the continual burnt-offering, and the meal-offering thereof, and their drink-offerings.
29:12And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall keep a feast unto Jehovah seven days: 29:13and ye shall offer a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah; thirteen young bullocks, two rams, fourteen he-lambs a year old; they shall be without blemish; 29:14and their meal-offering, fine flour mingled with oil, three tenth parts for every bullock of the thirteen bullocks, two tenth parts for each ram of the two rams, 29:15and a tenth part for every lamb of the fourteen lambs; 29:16and one he-goat for a sin-offering, besides the continual burnt-offering, the meal-offering thereof, and the drink-offering thereof.
29:17And on the second day ye shall offer twelve young bullocks, two rams, fourteen he-lambs a year old without blemish; 29:18and their meal-offering and their drink-offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the ordinance; 29:19and one he-goat for a sin-offering; besides the continual burnt-offering, and the meal-offering thereof, and their drink-offerings.
29:20And on the third day eleven bullocks, two rams, fourteen he-lambs a year old without blemish; 29:21and their meal-offering and their drink-offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the ordinance; 29:22and one he-goat for a sin-offering; besides the continual burnt-offering, and the meal-offering thereof, and the drink-offering thereof.
29:23And on the fourth day ten bullocks, two rams, fourteen he-lambs a year old without blemish; 29:24their meal-offering and their drink-offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the ordinance; 29:25and one he-goat for a sin-offering; besides the continual burnt-offering, the meal-offering thereof, and the drink-offering thereof.
29:26And on the fifth day nine bullocks, two rams, fourteen he-lambs a year old without blemish; 29:27and their meal-offering and their drink-offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the ordinance; 29:28and one he-goat for a sin-offering, besides the continual burnt-offering, and the meal-offering thereof, and the drink-offering thereof.
29:29And on the sixth day eight bullocks, two rams, fourteen he-lambs a year old without blemish; 29:30and their meal-offering and their drink-offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the ordinance; 29:31and one he-goat for a sin-offering; besides the continual burnt-offering, the meal-offering thereof, and the drink-offerings thereof.

29:35On the eighth day ye shall have a solemn assembly: ye shall do no servile work; 29:36but ye shall offer a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah: one bullock, one ram, seven he-lambs a year old without blemish; 29:37their meal-offering and their drink-offerings for the bullock, for the ram, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the ordinance: 29:38and one he-goat for a sin-offering, besides the continual burnt-offering, and the meal-offering thereof, and the drink-offering thereof.
29:39These ye shall offer unto Jehovah in your set feasts, besides your vows, and your freewill-offerings, for your burnt-offerings, and for your meal-offerings, and for your drink-offerings, and for your peace-offerings. 29:40And Moses told the children of Israel according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses.
A Psalm of Asaph.
73:1Surely God is good to Israel,
Even to such as are pure in heart.
73:2But as for me, my feet were almost gone;
My steps had well nigh slipped.
73:3For I was envious at the arrogant,
When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
73:4For there are no pangs in their death;
But their strength is firm.
73:5They are not in trouble as other men;
Neither are they plagued like other men.
73:6Therefore pride is as a chain about their neck;
Violence covereth them as a garment.
73:7Their eyes stand out with fatness:
They have more than heart could wish.
73:8They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression:
They speak loftily.
73:9They have set their mouth in the heavens,
And their tongue walketh through the earth.
73:10Therefore his people return hither:
And waters of a full cup are drained by them.
73:11And they say, How doth God know?
And is there knowledge in the Most High?
73:12Behold, these are the wicked;
And, being alway at ease, they increase in riches.
73:13Surely in vain have I cleansed my heart,
And washed my hands in innocency;
73:14For all the day long have I been plagued,
And *chastened every morning.
73:15If I had said, I will speak thus;
Behold, I had dealt treacherously with the generation of thy children.
73:16When I thought how I might know this,
It was too painful for me;
73:17Until I went into the sanctuary of God,
And considered their latter end.
73:18Surely thou settest them in slippery places:
Thou castest them down to destruction.
73:19How are they become a desolation in a moment!
They are utterly consumed with terrors.
73:20As a dream when one awaketh,
So, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou wilt despise their image.
73:21For my soul was grieved,
And I was pricked in my heart:
73:22So brutish was I, and ignorant;
I was as a beast before thee.
73:23Nevertheless I am continually with thee:
Thou hast holden my right hand.
73:24Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel,
And afterward receive me to glory.
73:25Whom have I in heaven but thee?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides thee.
73:26My flesh and my heart faileth;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.
73:27For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish:
Thou hast destroyed all them that play the harlot, departing from thee.
73:28But it is good for me to draw near unto God:
I have made the Lord Jehovah my refuge,
That I may tell of all thy works.
21:1The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it cometh from the wilderness, from a terrible land. 21:2A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous man dealeth treacherously, and the destroyer destroyeth. Go up, O Elam; besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease. 21:3Therefore are my loins filled with anguish; pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman in travail: I am pained so that I cannot hear; I am dismayed so that I cannot see. 21:4My heart fluttereth, horror hath affrighted me; the twilight that I desired hath been turned into trembling unto me. 21:5They prepare the table, they set the watch, they eat, they drink: rise up, ye princes, anoint the shield. 21:6For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman: let him declare what he seeth: 21:7and when he seeth a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of asses, a troop of camels, he shall hearken diligently with much heed. 21:8And he cried as a lion: O Lord, I stand continually upon the watch-tower in the day-time, and am set in my ward whole nights; 21:9and, behold, here cometh a troop of men, horsemen in pairs. And he answered and said, Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the graven images of her gods are broken unto the ground. 21:10O thou my threshing, and the grain of my floor! that which I have heard from Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you. 21:11The burden of Dumah. One calleth unto me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? 21:12The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: turn ye, come. 21:13The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye caravans of Dedanites. 21:14Unto him that was thirsty they brought water; the inhabitants of the land of Tema did meet the fugitives with their bread. 21:15For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war. 21:16For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar shall fail; 21:17and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be few; for Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath spoken it.
2:1But there arose false prophets also among the people, as among you also there shall be false teachers, who shall privily bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2:2And many shall follow their lascivious doings; by reason of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of. 2:3And in covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose sentence now from of old lingereth not, and their destruction slumbereth not. 2:4For if God spared not angels when they sinned, but cast them down to hell, and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 2:5and spared not the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; 2:6and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, having made them an example unto those that should live ungodly; 2:7and delivered righteous Lot, sore distressed by the lascivious life of the wicked 2:8(for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their lawless deeds): 2:9the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment unto the day of judgment; 2:10but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise dominion. Daring, self-willed, they tremble not to rail at dignities: 2:11whereas angels, though greater in might and power, bring not a railing judgment against them before the Lord. 2:12But these, as creatures without reason, born mere animals to be taken and destroyed, railing in matters whereof they are ignorant, shall in their destroying surely be destroyed, 2:13suffering wrong as the hire of wrong-doing; men that count it pleasure to revel in the day-time, spots and blemishes, revelling in their deceivings while they feast with you; 2:14having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; enticing unstedfast souls; having a heart exercised in covetousness; children of cursing; 2:15forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the hire of wrong-doing; 2:16but he was rebuked for his own transgression: a dumb ass spake with man's voice and stayed the madness of the prophet. 2:17These are springs without water, and mists driven by a storm; for whom the blackness of darkness hath been reserved. 2:18For, uttering great swelling words of vanity, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by lasciviousness, those who are just escaping from them that live in error; 2:19promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he also brought into bondage. 2:20For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the last state is become worse with them than the first. 2:21For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2:22It has happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog turning to his own vomit again, and the sow that had washed to wallowing in the mire.
